The main guarantees of IMA Ibérica

In case of immobilisation of your vehicle abroad IMA Ibérica organises:    

• The towing or transportation of the vehicle if the repairs couldn't be conducted on the location of the accident. The assistance organizes and handles the transportation of the vehicle to the nearest garage or to a garage chosen by the owner if it is located at a maximal distance that correspond to the one between the accident location and the owner's residency.

In the event of an immobilization of the vehicle lasting more than 48 hours, the assistance organizes the transportation of the renters to the owner's residency by the travel mean deemed the most suitable. This guarantee applies immediately in the necessity of an immediate return. If appropriate, the assistance will organize the transportation of the passengers to their destination, if the transportation costs doesn't exceed the repatriation to the owner's residency costs.

The repatriation of the renters in the event of theft or immobilization of the vehicle cannot be combined with the transportation of the renters to the destination.

• When the vehicle is immobilized and transported to the nearest garage, the assistance will pay the lodging costs up to 60 euros/person/night (room and breakfast) for 5 nights at most.

The lodging costs in the event of immobilization of the vehicle cannot be combined with the repatriation of the renters to the owner's residency.

In the event of injury or sickness in Europe, IMA Ibérica organizes

• The repatriation to the renter's residency. If deemed possible, a family member can accompany the sick or wounded person during the transfer;
• The hotel costs in the event of prolongation of the stay for medical reasons. The assistance will pay the lodging costs, room and breakfast, up to 60€ per night for 10 days at most;
• The presence of a family member. When the hospitalization exceeds 5 days, the assistance provides to a family member a return trip to the hospital. The assistance will pay the lodging cost of said family member up to 60€ per night for 10 days at most;
• The refund of medical costs charged abroad.In addition to the coverage offered by the Social Security and/or any other health care plan up to 6500€ per accident;
• Sending of medication and prescription glasses.

In case of death, IMA Ibérica provides:

• Transport of the corpse to the place of funeral or burial in Spain
• The early return in case of death of a spouse, parent or child in Spain.
