Welcome to my passion project! I finished the Renault Master in July 2021, and since then, we’ve had some great camping trips together. Although it’s not huge, I spared no effort in coming up with practical ideas to make the most of the space! Thanks to its compact size, finding a parking spot is always easy, and it drives smoothly. Plus, it just fits under most parking height restrictions.
Moreover, Chewie is equipped with everything you need for a relaxed, autonomous camping trip (details under ’Equipment’). The solar panel supplies you with power (even on cloudy days), the generous 60L water tank ensures you won’t run dry quickly, and thanks to the 11kg propane gas bottle including a gas stove, you’re not only limited to canned ravioli. I installed a pull-out shower at the faucet, so you can also take a shower outside! The practical, large folding table easily transforms into a 176 x 140 bed. The table comfortably seats 4 people without squeezing, and an additional small folding table by the sink offers an extra spot. Furthermore, pretty much everything you need for daily life is on board (e.g., pots, pans, etc.), along with a few extra perks (e.g., a hammock).
Due to its previous life as a craftsman’s helper, it does have some cosmetic flaws and here and there an interior light might not work as it should. However, I didn’t skimp on the optical design of the interior, and the engine and gearbox are in top shape. It just received its new German Technical Inspection Certification in October 2023 together with new all-weather tyres and a new battery. With 120HP and 6 gears, you can even accelerate uphill, overtake on the highway, and still save a bit on fuel thanks to the diesel tank. Except for self-inflicted problems, it has never let me down. Should that happen, there is an ADAC premium membership that will always get you out of a tight spot.
BTW, Chewie got his name from a small Chewbacca figure, which will accompany you as a firmly anchored co-pilot in the cockpit ;-). Everything you need, no more, no less, compact and reliable :-) I’m away from mid-December to April and am looking for someone to take over the van for a longer period during this time. Therefore, the price is negotiable!
The exact address will be communicated to you when the booking is confirmed.

Hi! I am Marcel, I live in the Netherlands but I am German. The Van has a German registration and insurance, but it covers all EU-member states and drivers. Part of the year I am in France, Spain and Portugal, so I am renting it from kind of everywhere. So don’t be confused about my address details etc :). I use the van mostly for free camping and surfing, but it suits all kinds of trips and outdoor activities!
